Many writers want to overcome this condition. It may be regarded as an abnormality or a disorder if you ask some writers. It may take months or years or just a few hours before the normal writing habit comes to life again as being experienced by some known writers.

If you come to ask if writer’s block can be overcome, then, the answer would be definitely yes. There are some strategies that a writer can get over from that condition or may prevent it from occurring.

Here are 3 tips to overcome writer’s block:

  1. Formulate a writing schedule

Make a schedule indicating the specific time, day and duration to engage in writing. Aside from scheduling your writing session, you also have to keep them.

Despite the writer’s block, you have to perform on those periods

as scheduled.

You may experience disorientation in the formation of paragraphs in the event you have writer’s block. You may do freewriting or automatic writing during the onset. Just jot down anything that pops out of your head. Ignore mistakes at first and proceed to concentrating on making a manuscript of what you have in mind no matter how absurd or disorganize it may seem and even though your mind is swirling for the right words to come out. You can still have time to do quality checking after you are done with the draft.

The writing schedule can be a way for you to make the activity a routine. When you think of it as a routine, you may experience ease in the way you formulate words and statements in their right syntaxes. You can diversify the contents of your work when you edit it.

  1. Take a break. Engage in meditation and in physical and writing exercises.

When you think you are exhausted after several hours of sitting and writing on papers or typing on computers, you can always take time to relax and chill. You can have time to take a break between two articles or chapters before you proceed.

Meditation is also helpful. You may do yoga or tai chi or any form of physical exercise that can help you to meditate and relax afterwards.

Physical exercise is also important. Some studies show that physical exercise is as significant as brain exercise. Your brain coordinates with your muscles and body parts the same way the body parts are controlled from the stimuli that originate from the brain.

You can also engage in writing exercises. You can refer to some Internet sites which can contain drills for you take part in and could even enjoy.

  1. Be inspired.

You can go out and seek for inspiration. You may carry a paper and pen with you or a portable computer as you venture outside and seek for something that can arouse your motivation to write.
