Be An Efficacious Content Writer

  By Bjornson Bernales

Being an effective writer is not difficult to achieve. All you need to know are the tips in effectively conveying your message to the readers. This is more than just knowing the various techniques in writing. Writing content is important in the web. It determines if your website will have a lot of traffic.

To help you in your quest for writing content effectively, below are several factors to take into consideration:

1.Be knowledgeable of SEO content writing.
Having the expertise in SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, really makes a difference when writing content. The main aim of content writing is to attract potential customers to read the copy. The best way to do that is to write a copy that best matches with the search engines. In this way, your article will be ranked higher thereby increasing the number of people locating your article. Even if you have a well-written article yet you don’t incorporate SEO in you writing, your work will just be wasted since only a few people will be able to read your article. The simple step of strategically placing keywords in an article, especially in the title and headline, would definitely position your article well in search engines and increase the site visitors.

2.Make your article compelling and substantial. An effective content writer is not only about composing an article that is fun to read. It is about providing readers significant facts that they re worth searching and knowing for. Provide significant information to the readers. It could be an answer to their question or a solution to their problem. Or, it could just be informing them what the site is all about so that they can discern whether they are
on the right website or not.

3.Adjust your writing style with the type of readers. Before writing content, determining the type of readers is essential. You have to suit your style of writing with the expected type of readers so as not to dissuade potential customers. Decide whether you want to have the formal approach in writing or just go with the relaxed, conversational style. There is a huge difference between the two and choosing the wrong style could result to utter disaster.

4.Organize the main points that you would like to point out in your article. Readers should be able to understand the focus of the content that you are writing. Determine the objectives of your article and revolve your writing around there. After which, arrange the ideas in a logical sequence that would be easy to follow and comprehend. Bullets and numbers to break the paragraphs can do the trick. Make use of simple terms that readers can easily relate to. Do not confuse your readers with difficult words. Make your content unambiguous, focused and light.

5.Allow readers to visualize the topic or issue you want to relay to them. Using simple terms does not mean that your article would be a bore. You have to employ strategies that would make your content fun, engaging yet informative. There are a lot of adjectives that you can use to vividly picture out the idea you want to express. The use of metaphors and similes are also widely used when writing content and are known to persuade people to do action.

Following the guidelines above can help you improve in your chosen craft. A content writer does not only mean you know how to write. It includes being able to connect to a wide array of readers in the worldwide web. One must have passion to be able to carry out an effective role as a content writer.

Yup, knowing what works with the SEO is a bit more important than knowing how to write well. That's how it works.

I believe that there should rather be a separate article used for attracting SEO engines and an article written well for the good discussion on the topic at hand. It seems that merging the two will result into a rather low quality article. I believe the results in your website traffic and article comments should give the direct comparison on which is better seo freindly article or quality articles with substance and style. I would rather accept myself proven wrong on this ...care to point out why ?

I prefer you use presuasive than efficacious.
To have people buying or reading your products, one must have compelling ads that makes people really try them.

I kinda like what you stated on the last paragraph. And may I also add, a good content writer is totally different from an effective (or as what you have written on this article "efficacious") content writer. A good content writer may be able to write write good quality articles, but an effective content writer does not only write good quality articles, he or she also generates more traffic to the site. Anyways, nice article.
