Gone with Pain in Her Heart
Gone with Pain in Her Heart
Her face had always been filled with pain,
Though she never spoke about it, she knew nothing would ever be the same.
From the moment she held him in her arms, tears flooded her eyes and off went the alarm.
At that second she knew her time was done. In walked another and then he was gone.
Where to? She does not know, her heart has so much sorrow she has nowhere to go.
This now is a secret, no one must ever find out.
I shall never speak of it ever, it shall be kept buried underground.
The years slowly go by and she is still in pain,
She wonders to herself what did she gain?
Letting him go, was that the right decission?
She asked herself that a million times, but it was as if she was on a mission.
One she did not choose, but she had no choice
For another person would not let her speak her voice.
In her heart she thought that was the right thing,
though years and years later she still had no ring.
For he was married, yes he had another.
And the baby who was born, he was my brother.
She is gone now, no longer in pain
Now I wish to seek him out,yes I have something to gain.
Meeting a long lost brother that I never knew about
Now my search has begun, I will not give up, this is what I must do.
I must find him before it's too late though there is only a very small clue.
She never had any strength, for he took that away.
But I will keep searching and searching for him until my dying day.
I wrote this poem before I began my search for my brother, since than I have found him
and we have spoken for the very first time! He now is 51 years old. Mom this is for you!!
