MONEY, HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO YOU

A topic on money and probably the closest category to it would be finance and banking but this is just a general view on money.

Some people say they don't need money to make them happy. Happiness comes from love and knowing you are loved by friends and family. However, other people claim that money is important and vital to live and brings them happiness.

"Money is power". The more you have, the more you can do anything. However with money, like everything else, comes pros and cons. Let's examine the cons first.

CONS

1. too much wealth can bring greed and selfishness

2. too much wealth can make you evil

3. too much wealth can make you abuse your powers you gain from it

4. you may be afraid to spend even a time because money can be an addiction; where, like Scrooge, you won't want to even spend a dime

5. too much wealth can make others look at you as a conceited person (if they don't have any for themselves)

PROS

1. having money leads to a life of comfort and ease where you don't have to worry about financial stress or fear of debt

2. having money brings you all the materials you can dream of for pleasure or business

3. having money can bring you recognition and respect

The world runs on money. Because it all starts from school. At the grade of Kindergarten, we are being trained by teachers to pass schools and move from elementary to middle to high to one day find a good college for us to get a great job for us to earn lots of money. It's a Materialistic Destiny call it if you must because we are trained to end up making money to survive. Its a cycle.

You could look at school in one of 2 ways.

1. School is about getting a good education to gain knowledge and skills for the outside world to survive

or

2. School is only present to get you a great job to make you lots of money

The above pros and cons, in my opinion, are just a few (I am sure there is alot more). Generally speaking, yes I personally want LOTS OF MONEY. I am sure you, the reader, too, wants money....lots of it. Because we are the kind of people that want to live the life of the wealthy knowing that we can buy anything anytime we want without being dependent financially on others, money is something like a casted spell that will put you into a trance...addiction to money is nothing rare.

Sometimes I've caught myself clinging onto every little penny and not wanting to spend waiting for it to grow because I was getting such a low income from my job. Trust me, it can be very frustrating to do that. Patiently wa
iting to add every little penny to make it grow more; unfortunately that would not be possible for me because the more I tried to save and resist temptations buying materialistic things, the more intense my desires grew to just buy it to fulfill the craving of needing it.

They say that luxury is not essential as to more important things like bill paying. But you want to be honest with yourself and ask, how much do I really care about not wanting to spend a dime and saving it for emergencies only but needing that item that is so not important is very strong right now.

I admit, it takes alot of discipline to not spend money and waste it on things you don't need and can live without. Then again, its just true that who can resist when you know you want it; its like staring right at you and teasing you to buy.

Businesses also thrive on money. A business that doesn't do well will go bank rupt and fail. This is why they have people buying things from their stores that they market and promote. To tempt the customers into buying things so they can make money and thrive and grow and expand their business.

The next question though is to ask yourself, how much money would you be satisfied with because you can have a trillion dollars but really, what would you do with that much anyways….it's not like you can buy your own island, right?

Just send it to charity because I would have no use for it if I get incoming money on a daily basis that will give me more than enough to survive for a lifetime.

Donation would be he next best thing. I don't think you even want to invest it if you are going to be the kind of person who is making like 15,000 a week or so every week of every month of every year for your natural living life. Donate it to those in need, in poverty, in homeless shelters, it serves a great purpose for multiple reasons which I am not going to explain but just briefly list; consider the ideas yourself why they would be beneficial:

1. it grows the spiritual side of you

2. it makes you a fair minded person with morals

3. you will be known as a humane person

4. you will feel good with helping others while having enough for yourself

I understand the above only applies to people that are already supremely wealthy like Bill Gates and superstars. I am just giving you examples of benefits if you were in their shoes.

Concluding my essay, I don't think one can be too happy with just money because too much of anything will become boring. And on the other spectrum, no money will make you do devious things if you are desperate enough like stealing, robbing, murdering, etc.

I'd love to write more but since I am only limited to 1000 words. I'll stop here. Please share opinions about my views on this article and comment.
